Dynamic Electric Vehicle Charging (DEVC)

Dynamic Electric Vehicle Charging (DEVC) is a new technology that aims to make electric vehicles (EVs) more convenient and efficient by allowing them to charge while driving. This is achieved by installing charging infrastructure on or under the road surface, and equipping the EV with a device that can receive a charge wirelessly while in motion.

One of the main benefits of DEVC is that it eliminates the need for EV drivers to actively search for charging stations. This can save time and reduce the range anxiety that many EV drivers experience. With DEVC, EV drivers can simply drive on the road and receive a charge as they go.

Another benefit of DEVC is that it can be used to create "smart" charging networks. These networks can be programmed to only charge EVs when renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind power, are available. This can help to reduce the carbon footprint of EVs and make them more environmentally friendly.

DEVC technology is still in the early stages of development, and there are currently only a few pilot projects in operation. However, several companies and research institutions are working on DEVC, and it is expected that the technology will continue to improve and become more widely adopted in the future.
